WHAT IS TENDRING CREATIVE PROJECT LAB?
A new scheme to help a cohort of 6 creatives in Tendring to get their creative arts projects up and running in 2025 and beyond. It will provide an exciting package of support that enables you to develop your idea and deliver it in the best possible way.
WHAT WILL I GET?
- Workshops and talks with specialists on useful things such as Fundraising, Marketing, Sustainability and more.
- Coaching and Mentoring to help you take your project to the next level.
- Networking and site visits to meet cultural leaders and visit some of Tendring’s cultural spaces.
- A supportive cohort of fellow creative people who will help each other achieve their ambitions.
- A total of 40 hours contact time, and a stipend contribution of £750 plus travel costs and food at events to alleviate the financial burden of participation.
WHEN WILL THIS HAPPEN?
This programme will begin in December 2024 and end in March 2025.
The projects developed on the programme do not have to happen within this timeline.
WHAT CONSTITUTES A CREATIVE ARTS PROJECT?
A project is a standalone activity with a beginning, middle and end.
The project can be brand new. Or just an exciting idea waiting to happen.
It can be already happening. But you want to take it to the next level.
It must be for a public audience and/or public participants.
It can be in any art form, or a mixture of art forms.
WHO IS RUNNING IT?
Tendring Creative Project Lab is run by Tendring resident, independent producer & coach Steve Goatman. It has support from Tendring District Council via SPF funding from the UK Government.
WHAT CRITERIA WILL YOU USE TO SELECT APPLICANTS?
This scheme will help projects which are ambitious to have unique and ambitious impact for audiences and participants in Tendring. The impact on the career development and capabilities of each individual applicant will also be taken into account. A panel of judges from the local creative sector will meet soon after the application deadline to assess the applications and choose the cohort.
